In Brief:
Ethereum game Pixels launches a “rizz-to-earn” event where players flirt with an AI NPC to earn PIXEL tokens.
Top 500 scorers by May 22 will receive rewards based on campaign rankings and key sales.

The Ethereum-based farming game Pixels is taking the concept of play-to-earn in a hilarious new direction—flirt-to-earn. In the community-dubbed “rizz-to-earn” campaign, players can earn PIXEL token rewards by charming an AI-powered NPC inside the game.

To join the quest, players must visit AiVeronica’s castle in Terra Villa and purchase a key—either for 100 PIXEL in-game or 77 PIXEL on AiVeronica’s website. Once inside, players interact with a dynamic character who has her own story, preferences, and emotional intelligence.

Scoring is based on how well players “rizz up” the character. Those who score 80 points or higher will appear on the leaderboard, with the top 500 earning airdropped PIXEL tokens. The top 10 players will receive 1% each of the prize pool, followed by scaled rewards for ranks 11–500. There’s also a hint at a potential AiVeronica (AIV) token airdrop in the future.

The quirky event runs until Thursday, May 22, and has sparked interest across crypto gaming circles. AiVeronica, powered by the Virtuals Protocol, is part of a larger vision by Pixels to build an evolving AI-driven game world where NPCs react, learn, and shift storylines.

“We want characters that feel real—who remember your choices and respond in meaningful ways,” said Pixels founder Luke Barwikowski. “Rizz-to-earn is one example of how AI can deepen engagement and make Pixels a living world.”

As AI continues to shape Web3 gaming, Pixels is positioning itself as a creative leader in interactive gameplay, emergent storytelling, and community-driven design.
