In Brief:
Trump’s brand files trademarks for mobile phones, accessories, and telecom services.
Plans hint at possible competition with Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump may soon enter the mobile phone industry. A series of trademark applications filed by DTTM Operations—his brand management entity—indicate plans to offer telecommunications services under the names “Trump” and “T1.”

Submitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the applications cover a broad range of services and products: mobile phones, phone cases, battery chargers, wireless telecom services, and retail outlets. While filing a trademark doesn’t guarantee product launches, trademark attorney Josh Gerben noted that the detailed scope suggests serious intent.

If the project pushes through, Trump could be positioning himself to compete with telecom giants like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. The move follows a broader trend of prominent figures venturing into branded consumer tech.
